On July 16th, our second Parents' Mathematics Workshop was held. In the workshop, our teachers again showed parents how learning in a family context can be stimulating for both children and parents. One of the main goals of this workshop was to bring parents and children together to boost their numeracy skills by providing a repertoire of fun activities: from tracing numbers using flour to playing a fun math board game using addition and subtraction facts. Parents enjoyed every center activity that was available during the workshop. More importantly, they acquired a variety of resources and easy hands-on activities that they can practice at home with their children to support the math learning process while having fun together.
